As of February 10, Azerbaijan’s National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported the discovery and neutralization of 78 antipersonnel mines, 16 antitank mines, and 294 unexploded ordnance across several regions from February 3 to 9.

The affected areas include Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan. In total, 787 hectares of land were cleared.

Earlier, ANAMA released its monthly demining report for January, revealing the discovery of 505 antipersonnel mines, 257 antitank mines, and 1,497 unexploded ordnance. A total of 3,583.8 hectares were cleared, bringing the total area cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance to over 62,000 hectares.

The demining efforts follow the liberation of Azerbaijani territories previously occupied by Armenia, with reports suggesting that landmines were deliberately planted by Armenia as part of its military strategy.
