Mineral deposits in Azerbaijan's Karabakh: 142 sites reviewed Groundwater resources reassessed
Control and revision works have been successfully completed at 142 mineral deposits in Azerbaijan's Karabakh, establishing the volumes exploited during the occupation.
In addition to the mineral assessments, control and revision efforts have also been conducted in over 170 settlements to reassess exploitable groundwater resources, Vugar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources said, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Karimov further highlighted that as part of the restoration efforts for the State Nature Reserves “Basitchay” and “Dashalty,” the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the maps for these territories.
Meanwhile, the map for the State Nature Reserve “Arazboyu” and the draft map for the sanitary protection zone of the State Nature Reserve “Dashalty” are currently undergoing coordination with relevant state agencies.
