Minister: Azerbaijan ready to contribute to energy dialogue
Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has said that Azerbaijan, which is an OPEC+ country and a strategic energy supplier to Europe, is ready to contribute to the energy dialogue.
“The OPEC seminar discussed the need for diversification and upstream investment for sustainable energy security and a fair energy transition,” the minister tweeted, Report informs.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov is taking part in the 8th OPEC international seminar, held in Vienna, the capital of Austria. The seminar is dedicated to the topic “Towards a sustainable and inclusive energy transition”.
A number of bilateral meetings are planned to be held within the framework of the visit.

Meanwhile, Shahbazov met with OPEC Secretary General Haitham al-Ghais within the framework of the 8th OPEC International Seminar, which is being held on July 5-6 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
“We had fruitful talks with OPEC Secretary General Haytham Al Qais on cooperation and further activities in order to balance the oil market and energy stability,” the minister wrote on his Twitter account.

Iraq is interested in developing energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, Shahbazov wrote on his Twitter account after meeting with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani within the framework of the 8th OPEC International Seminar.
