Baku, Doha discuss possibilities of joint cooperation within IOSCO PHOTO
A delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Ali Akhmedov, participated in the 50th annual meeting of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
During the visit, the delegation met with the head of Qatar’s Financial Markets Authority, Tamy Ahmed Ali Al-Boutamy Al Binali, Caliber.Az reports, citing the CBA.
The parties discussed the development strategies of both organisations in the capital markets, opportunities for cooperation within the framework of IOSCO, and other topics of mutual interest.
IOSCO is the international body that brings together the world's securities regulators and is recognised as the global standard setter for financial markets regulation. The Organization seeks to develop, implement and promote adherence to internationally recognised standards for financial markets regulation and work closely with other international organisations on the global regulatory reform agenda.
