Azerbaijan, Russia’s Dagestan discuss boosting trade, investment, industry
The Azerbaijani Economy Ministry has held a pivotal meeting to explore expanding economic ties with the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, focusing on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, small and medium-sized businesses, and industry.
Azerbaijani First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev and Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Rizvan Gazimagomedov attended the meeting, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Both parties expressed a strong mutual interest in deepening ties with Russian regions, particularly highlighting Dagestan as a key partner in future collaboration. Azerbaijan’s favorable business climate and the economic potential of its liberated territories were emphasized as crucial drivers for enhancing regional cooperation.
The geographical proximity of Dagestan to Azerbaijan was also noted as a significant factor in facilitating deeper economic integration between the two regions. The meeting concluded with a focus on the importance of fostering stronger business relationships between Azerbaijani and Dagestani enterprises, paving the way for future joint ventures and projects. The dialogue underscored the commitment of both sides to advancing their partnership and exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
