Moldova announces shutdown of enterprises due to energy crisis
Former Moldovan Prime Minister Ion Chicu has announced the shutdown of enterprises due to the energy crisis.
The enterprises in the country have started closing, as the Moldovan government does not want to discuss the price of gas with Russia, Gazeta.ru quotes him as saying.
As an example, he cited the Macon brick factory in Chisinau, which had to stop its work due to current gas tariffs. As a result, Moldova may lose about 1 million in tax revenues.
“The government does not intend to revise the gas price with the Russians. "It makes no sense," they say.
Meanwhile, we see how the enterprises stop their work, hundreds of people will find themselves on the street without a livelihood. This is the result of how the government and the Action and Solidarity party understand the situation and act,” Chicu explained.
