More springs restored in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region
The representation office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Azerbaijan has restored and put into operation the springs “Bala Bino”, “Boyuk Bino” and “Goylan-2” in the liberated Aghdam district.
The restoration of the springs was carried out with the financial support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) as part of the "Integrated development of rural areas in places of residence of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan through the restoration of springs” project, Report quotes IOM as saying.
The project reportedly aims to ensure a safe and sustainable water supply for the population of the region through the revitalization of springs - a traditional and sustainable water supply system.
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the prevention of forced economic migration by increasing agricultural productivity and livelihoods, as well as providing agricultural communities in Azerbaijan with water without the use of energy.
