MP: Azerbaijan forms completely new communities in liberated areas
New settlements and communities are being formed in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, according to Milli Majlis deputy Fariz Ismayilzade.
Speaking at a roundtable held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Ismayilzade said that entirely new cities and villages are being created in these areas.
He noted that one of the key priorities remains ensuring the safe and sustainable return of the population.
According to the deputy, the Azerbaijani government has already facilitated the return of approximately 80,000 people to the liberated territories.
“These people are already living, studying and working in these territories. Since a significant part of the former cities and villages was destroyed during the occupation period, completely new communities are now being formed there,” he said.
