New demographic statistics released for Azerbaijan

The population of Azerbaijan has grown by 42,274 citizens (0.4%), resulting in an overall population of 10,198,640 as of September 1, 2022.

As reported by APA, the State Committee for Statistics has published those figures in its monthly report.

The urban population makes up 52.9% while 47.1% reside in rural areas of the country, with the gender balance remaining unchanged from the previous month. In 2021 the gender demographics reported a population of 49.9% male and 50.1% female citizens.
