Turkish religious leader pays tribute to Azerbaijani martyrs, reflects on Armenian genocide in Karabakh
Turkish religious figure Yavuz Yıldız has reflected on the Armenian genocide’s devastating consequences on Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region during his visit to the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
“What we witnessed in Azerbaijan once again made us realise just how precious the Motherland is,” Yıldız said during his visit to the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“During our trip to Karabakh, we witnessed the consequences of the genocide committed there by the Armenians. May Allah have mercy on the souls of the martyrs. May Allah protect Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and our brotherhood, and make it everlasting,” he added.
The Alley of Martyrs in Baku serves as a solemn resting place for the brave souls who sacrificed their lives in the defence of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, including the martyrs from the Karabakh conflict. These heroes, killed during the Armenian aggression in the Karabakh region, are honoured for their courage and dedication to the Motherland. Their memory is preserved with deep reverence, symbolising the enduring resilience and unity of the Azerbaijani people.
