Azerbaijan’s Shusha shines as cultural gem with international children’s festival PHOTO / UPDATED
Azerbaijan’s Shusha city proudly hosted the International Festival of Children’s Creativity, titled “Shusha — The Cultural Pearl of Turkic Unity” on June 1.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Science and Education, brought together young talents from across the Turkic world, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Around 300 schoolchildren from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Hungary participated, presenting a vibrant showcase of musical and dance traditions from their homelands.
The festival, underscoring the cultural heritage and unity among Turkic-speaking peoples, was attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, along with prominent figures from the arts, students, and children of martyrs.
The event objectives include fostering intercultural understanding among Turkic youth, strengthening friendship and brotherhood, and encouraging cooperation. Additionally, it provided a platform for participants to proudly share their countries’ history and culture while exploring the enchanting city of Shusha.
