Nighttime attack on Crimea: Ukrainian drones strike Russia's Pantsir-S2, radar stations
Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strike drones targeted major Russian military and infrastructure facilities in occupied Crimea overnight on October 28 to 29, a source in Ukraine's Security Service told local media.
He said the strike drones of the SBU’s Special Group Alpha carried out attacks overnight against Russian military and infrastructure targets in temporarily occupied Crimea.
By morning, Russian forces were reported to have lost a Pantsir-S2 air-defence system valued at approximately $20 million.
In addition, drones belonging to the Alpha Group struck an oil depot in the village of Gvardeyskoye, where fuel was stored. A large-scale fire broke out at the facility, sending up a huge column of black smoke.
The special forces also reportedly destroyed two Russian radar stations.
The source also confirmed a drone strike on the Komsomolskaya oil depot, resulting in additional damage.
