Official: Azerbaijani president, Armenian PM hold "warm" talks on peace On sidelines of CIS summit
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held discussions on advancing the path to peace on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit in Tajikistan's Dushanbe, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev said.
Lebedev told reporters that the conversation between Pashinyan and Aliyev was “very warm” and focused on issues related to moving forward on the path to peace and security, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
The CIS summit, held on October 10 in Dushanbe, brought together the presidents of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, along with the Armenian prime minister. The meeting is chaired by President Rahmon, who holds the CIS chairmanship for 2025.
