Oman mediating between S.Arabia, Houthis to revive political process
Oman is working with Saudi Arabia and the parties to the conflict in Yemen, including the Houthis, to help revive the political process, the Omani Foreign Ministry has stated.
In a post on X, the ministry said Muscat's mediation efforts are aimed at returning the parties to a political track and implementing a roadmap intended to promote security and stability in the region, Caliber.Az reports.
“The Sultanate of Oman is closely following the recent developments related to the situation in the Red Sea region, and emphasizes the necessity of avoiding escalation and any threats that could exacerbate the situation and endanger freedom of navigation,” it noted.
