Pakistan army warns India’s arrogance threatens South Asian stability
On October 15, Pakistan’s military warned that India’s “arrogance” and provocative statements pose a serious threat to peace in South Asia.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army’s media wing, condemned the Indian military leadership for spreading what it called false and inflammatory propaganda, noting that such actions could destabilise the region, Caliber.Az reports via Pakistani media.
The statement came in the wake of renewed Indian messaging following the so-called “Battle of Right” five months ago. ISPR said the repetition of hostile rhetoric reflected India’s refusal to acknowledge defeat and linked it to upcoming elections in Bihar and West Bengal.
“The international community now sees through India’s false claims, which contribute to cross-border tensions and regional unrest,” the ISPR said. The statement accused India of pursuing aggressive and hegemonic policies against neighbouring countries and warned that Pakistan’s armed forces were fully prepared to respond to any acts of aggression.
ISPR stressed that professional soldiers recognise the dangers of “arrogance and reckless talk,” which can escalate conflicts and endanger regional stability. The military urged Indian leaders to exercise caution, warning that any hostile action would be met with a decisive response.
The Pakistan Army reiterated its commitment to peace but emphasised that it would protect the country’s sovereignty at all costs, calling for responsible leadership to ensure lasting stability in South Asia.
