Pakistan eyes to expand trade ties with Azerbaijan and implement projects in Karabakh
President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Muhammad Shakeel Munir has said that Pakistan intends to export mangoes, rice and other fruits and vegetables to Azerbaijan.
“We are interested in the export of mangoes to Azerbaijan. At the same time, Pakistan can supply some fruits and vegetables to Azerbaijan,” Munir told Report.
He also stressed that Pakistan intends to increase the export of rice to Azerbaijan.
“Presently, Pakistani rice is exported to the Azerbaijani market. However, we can send more,” the ICCI president noted.
Munir added that more than 50 companies from Pakistan arrived to participate in the business forum held in Baku.
“I think that this forum is a good experience for bilateral cooperation. We would like our economic relations to further develop and we see great potential in the Azerbaijani market.”
Munir said that the implementation of joint tourism projects was discussed during the meetings.
He stressed that Pakistani companies would like to implement projects in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
