Pakistan kills 29 militants in major operation along Afghan border
Pakistani security forces conducted a large-scale ground operation in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along the Afghan border on June 28, killing 29 militants, Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar said.
“In the aftermath of recent multiple terrorist incidents inside Pakistan against the innocent people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Balochistan and Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Camp, Karachi, a well planned intelligence based ground operation was carried out by security forces along Pakistan-Afghan border followed by calibrated Strikes in the border region against the hideouts and safe havens of terrorists belonging to Jamaat ul Ahrar and Fitna al khwarij, killing twenty nine khwarij,” Tarar wrote on X.

According to the minister, the operation included targeted attacks against three militant sites along the frontier, including weapons and ammunition depots. The strikes were aimed at positions used by the armed groups operating in the border area.
Tarar stressed that Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign would continue “at full pace” to eliminate any threats to the country’s security, adding that such threats are supported and sponsored from abroad.
