Pakistan ready to help rebuild Azerbaijan’s Karabakh, envoy says

Pakistan is ready to participate in the reconstruction of Karabakh, including by involving its construction companies in the process, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin has said.

Speaking during a visit to Karabakh, the diplomat praised the reconstruction work being carried out in the region, noting the active development and transformation of Khankendi, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

“Azerbaijan should be very proud that a gold standard of reconstruction is being created here. This is an example for the international community of how a territory that suffered greatly from war can be rebuilt so beautifully in such a short period,” he noted.

The ambassador stated that Pakistan was considering several areas of cooperation with Azerbaijan.

“Recently, we concluded a major deal in the defence sector and, hopefully, we are now at the final stage of agreeing on a major energy project,” Mohiuddin added.

According to him, Islamabad is ready to contribute to the reconstruction of the Karabakh region.

“Pakistan is ready to come to Karabakh together with our construction companies, teachers and doctors. Azerbaijan is a brotherly country, and we are ready to cooperate with it in all areas,” the diplomat clarified.
