Pakistan’s PM reaffirms peace efforts after talks with Saudi crown prince
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to regional peace and closer ties with Saudi Arabia following talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.
In a statement shared on X, Sharif said he conveyed Pakistan’s “unwavering solidarity” with the Kingdom and praised its leadership for what he described as patience and restraint during a period of heightened regional tensions, Caliber.Az reports.

The Pakistani leader also highlighted Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts in easing tensions between Washington and Tehran, noting recent initiatives that contributed to a ceasefire and facilitated peace talks. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran with the aim of achieving long-term regional stability.
Sharif expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s continued political and economic support, particularly in helping maintain Pakistan’s economic stability. He also underscored the longstanding defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen bilateral relations, with Sharif describing the discussions as “warm and constructive.”
