Pakistan slams Taliban for exporting terrorism, violating women’s rights “Taliban turned Afghanistan into an Indian colony”

27 February 2026 11:21

Following the recent escalation, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif accused the Taliban of turning Afghanistan into “an Indian colony,” exporting terrorism, violating human rights, and depriving women of rights guaranteed under Islam.

In a post on X, the minister claimed that following NATO’s troop withdrawal, peace was expected in Afghanistan, with the Taliban focusing on the welfare of the Afghan people and regional stability, but he emphasised that the situation has drastically changed.

Asif stressed that Pakistan had made every effort to maintain stability, including extensive diplomacy and mediation through friendly countries, but the Taliban had become “a proxy for India.”

He warned that Pakistan’s patience has run out: “Now, this is open war. Now, it will be relentless. Pakistan’s army has not come from across the seas; we are your neighbors and we know your limits. Allahu Akbar.”

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also reported that Operation “Ghazab-lil-Haqq” began on February 27, 2026, at 3:40 a.m. According to Tarar, strikes on Taliban targets in Kabul, Paktika, and Kandahar killed 133 militants and wounded over 200.

The operation destroyed 27 posts of the Afghan regime, captured nine posts, and eliminated two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, one logistics base, three battalion headquarters, and two sector headquarters, along with more than 80 tanks, artillery pieces, and armoured personnel carriers. Tarar noted that Pakistan’s counteroffensive continues.

Meanwhile, according to TOLOnews, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence stated that Afghan forces halted retaliatory operations along the Durand Line at 12:00 a.m., following orders from Ground Forces Chief of Staff Fasihuddin Fitrat. Afghan officials claimed that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed, several bodies recovered, hundreds of weapons seized, and several soldiers captured. Afghan forces also claimed to have taken control of two headquarters and 19 military checkpoints.

Afghanistan reported its own losses as eight soldiers killed and 11 wounded. In addition, a Pakistani airstrike on a temporary camp for repatriates in Torkham caused injuries to 13 people, including women and children.
