Pakistan tests Fatah-2 rocket system with 400 km range
Pakistan has successfully conducted a test of its domestically developed Fatah-2 multiple launch rocket system, which has a reported range of 400 kilometres, according to the military’s media wing.
In a statement cited by TASS, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the training launch was part of efforts to strengthen the operational capabilities of the country’s missile forces.
The system is equipped with “advanced avionics and modern navigation systems,” and the test involved the evaluation of multiple technical parameters. It also assessed the performance of various subsystems designed to enhance both the accuracy and survivability of the platform, the statement said.
The development follows earlier military tests in 2026, when the Pakistan Navy successfully launched the domestically produced Taimoor air-launched anti-ship cruise missile. The missile is designed to engage both land-based and maritime targets.
