Pashinyan: Armenia, Azerbaijan strengthen economic ties with Georgia’s assistance
Armenia and Azerbaijan are advancing economic relations with the facilitation of Georgia, Armenin Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the 15th session of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Speaking at a joint press briefing, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the “very positive momentum in the development of regional cooperation,” noting that the historic peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan provides a strong foundation for stability in the South Caucasus, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
“Georgia will spare no effort in promoting peace and stability in the region,” Kobakhidze said, emphasising the “exceptional nature of the partnership” between Georgia and Armenia.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude for Georgia’s role, describing the country’s support as “invaluable” in fostering economic and regional cooperation. He added that the ongoing collaboration underscores the growing nature of Armenia-Georgia ties, while also supporting broader regional stability and the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process.
“We are gratified by the very positive momentum in the development of regional cooperation. We are pleased to underscore, as highlighted today at the Intergovernmental Commission, that the historic peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been successfully signed. These positive developments provide an excellent foundation for all of us to work together towards achieving stability in our region and ensuring lasting peace," Kobakhidze said.
The session focused on bilateral economic agendas, as well as regional and international matters, highlighting areas with the greatest potential for cooperation.
