Pashinyan's party eyes "peace" theme for 2026 election campaign
Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party has begun preparations for its campaign ahead of the country’s next parliamentary elections, focusing on the development of an election slogan, visual symbols and campaign music.
The party has not yet finalised its main slogan, though it is expected to centre on the theme of peace and likely include the word “peace,” Caliber.Az reports via Hraparak, citing unnamed sources.
The report said a special working group led by ruling party lawmaker Vahagn Aleksanyan has been tasked with shaping the key elements of the campaign.
As part of its outreach strategy, the authorities plan to use a musical composition based on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s poem “Real Armenia.” The poem was previously adapted into a song by the band Varchaband and is expected to serve as the campaign’s main anthem.
The campaign’s visual symbol is expected to feature a hand gesture frequently used by Pashinyan, in which he forms a heart shape with his fingers, according to the publication.
Armenia’s next parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on 7 June 2026.
