Pentagon: Leaked documents won't affect Ukraine's military support

18 April 2023 15:40

Leaked secret documents will not affect the level of support for Ukraine by partners. Allies are determined to continue helping Ukrainians.

Pentagon representative made the statement during a briefing on the eve of the next meeting in the Ramstein format, which is scheduled for April 21, RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to the Pentagon official, it is unlikely that the classified data released online will prevent partners from supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.

"What we have heard from allies and partners is that they are determined - and we welcome this - not to allow any negative information or the dissemination of negative information to shatter our unity, our focus, and resolve," the Pentagon said.

The US also added that at the Ramstein meeting, the partners will discuss both Ukraine's immediate needs and its future defence.

"I expect this to be a very practical discussion based on a shared understanding of the importance of unity and identity of purpose," the official said.
