PM: Armenia not helping Russia to bypass Western sanctions
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Armenia is not helping Russia circumvent Western restrictions, and the rhetoric that such a situation takes place is "just talk."
He made the remarks in Berlin at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on March 2, TASS reports.
"As a democratic country for which transparency is extremely important, we are also transparent on this issue. Talks about Armenia helping Russia circumvent international sanctions are just talk," he said.
Western countries began imposing restrictions on Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine in March 2014. They have been repeatedly expanded and extended. Since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the measures have been significantly tightened.
