Poland inducts F-35 fighter jets into service with nationwide flyovers VIDEO
Poland has officially inducted US-made F-35 fighter jets into its Armed Forces during a ceremony held at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask, marking a major step in the country’s military modernisation programme.
The event, attended by Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Senate Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, was also joined by US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno, Caliber.Az reports via Polish media.
As part of the celebrations, Polish F-35 pilots conducted ceremonial flypasts over several major cities under an event titled “Greetings from Poland.” The aircraft flew over Gdańsk, Warsaw, and Kraków, passing key landmarks including the Westerplatte peninsula, the Vistula River area near the Warsaw Citadel, and the Wawel Hill region in Kraków.

The flyovers were held to commemorate the formal introduction of the F-35 fleet into operational service with the Polish Armed Forces and the establishment of the Łask airbase as its operational hub.
Poland ordered 32 F-35 multi-role fighter jets from US defence manufacturer Lockheed Martin in 2020. The aircraft are among the most widely used fifth-generation fighters within NATO air forces.
