Polish FM: No progress on enlargement among EU countries
Polish Foreign Minister Szymon Szinkowski Wiel Cenk has said that at the moment there is no consensus among the members of the European Union (EU) on the issue of enlargement of the association, the countries failed to make progress in this direction.
He noted that there is a "declarative agreement" among EU countries to continue supporting Ukraine, but binding decisions on financing are needed, His words are quoted by the Polish Press Agency.
"Obviously, not all member states are ready for this. Poland has always been a country which, out of concern for its own security, believes that Russian troops should be kept as far away from our borders as possible," Szinkowski Wiel Cenk said.
According to the Polish foreign minister, this is why EU countries should support Kyiv politically and militarily.
However, not all countries are ready for such a development of events, he said.
