The war in Ukraine, energy uncertainties for the upcoming winter and the inflation crisis were named as the main challenges that Scholz, so the results of the polls, seems to have difficulties juggling, the German Bild reports.
The paper commissioned the INSA research institute with conducting the poll which resulted in 31% answering "rather not" and 24% "not at all" when asked whether Olaf Scholz is capable of handling the current challenges. Only 37% of the participants gave him a positive review.

Nevertheless, the BILD states that those numbers are less impressive when considering that 49% answered that they would choose neither of those candidates for the role of Chancellor.
Scholz recently received heavy critique after approving a deal with Chinese investors, selling them a stake at a terminal in the Hamburg port, one of Europe’s most important trade points. The polls posed questions about this business deal as well, with the vast majority replying that such a deal should have either faced harsher legal restrictions or be completely banned.
