President Aliyev: No one can come and lecture us, there is no need for this
President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan will continue to increase its strength and reinforce its military build-up since the system of international law does not work today and the main factor is force.
"Today, the power factor is in the foreground. I said this 10 years ago. I said that international law does not work. We should not engage in self-deception, we must be even stronger, and build up our power. If necessary, we must drive the enemy from our territory by force. I talked about it and I did it," President Aliyev said on Friday, speaking to residents of the village of Aghali in the Zangilan district, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan is against outside interference in its internal affairs.
"The power factor will continue to dominate the world. The newest history shows this. Therefore, we must continue to be strong and we stay strong. (...) We are also increasing our military power. After the war (with Armenia in autumn of 2020 - Interfax) new military units were created, new equipment was purchased, and we will continue to move in this direction. Because if we are not strong, we will not be able to live the way we want. We want to live freely, so that from now on no one will interfere in our affairs. There is no need for that. We have built such a beautiful state that many today might envy it. Let no one come and lecture us, give us advice, or teach us. There is no need for this", Aliyev stressed.
