President Lukashenko rules out mobilisation in Belarus
President Alexander Lukashenko has said that there would be no mobilisation in Belarus.
The head of state made the remarks during a conversation with journalists on September 23 in Minsk, BelTA informs.
Commenting on the thesis about the possible mobilisation in Belarus similar to the recent decision in Russia, Lukashenko noted that “the opponents of Minsk are trying to cling to something”.
“We are not going to mobilise. This is a lie,” he said.
The president noted that Belarus would definitely respond to possible threats and attempts to commit acts of terrorism.
To this end, various exercises are conducted regularly, including with the participation of the people's militia, so that people know their duties and have the necessary military skills.
