Presidential spox: Belarus engaging in active talks with US and other countries
Belarus is currently engaged in active negotiations with several countries, with the United States taking priority, officials confirmed.
Speaking to journalists, Natalia Eismont, press secretary to the President of Belarus, stated that President Aleksandr Lukashenko is working steadily to stabilise regional conditions, promote dialogue among states, and resolve contentious issues exclusively through peaceful means.
“Negotiations with various countries, and above all with the US, are now in an active phase. We have always said and continue to say: the Republic of Belarus is open to dialogue and ready to consider proposals from all interested parties,” Eismont said.
Earlier, President Lukashenko indicated that discussions with American partners are likely to take place in December. He also revealed plans for a major tour across the southern hemisphere, including stops in Myanmar, Oman, Algeria, and other countries.
Lukashenko further announced his intention to participate in the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) summit in Kyrgyzstan.
Belarus has recently shown signs of warming ties with the United States. In June 2025, a meeting between Lukashenko and U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg led to the release of some political prisoners, and Minsk expressed willingness to engage in constructive cooperation.
At the same time, Lukashenko is advocating for stronger cohesion within the CSTO, emphasising the organisation’s role in global security and signalling an ambition to expand its influence internationally.
