Pundit: Armenia's unpreparedness led to its failure at UN Security Council
Political analyst Ara Poghosyan explained the main reasons for Armenia's diplomatic defeat at the UN Security Council meeting.
He shared his opinion on the air of Hraparak.TV, Caliber.Az reports.
"Let's start first with expectations from the UN Security Council meeting. Of course, expectations from this or that organisation, country, or political figure are often exaggerated in our society.
The truth is that we must first assess the performance of our state and authorised representatives. What preliminary work has been done? How were these works systematised, and in the end were they carried out at all? How was propaganda conducted, and what resources were utilised? How was the diaspora engaged?
And in my estimation, this whole system basically did not work. We see different statements by some states, non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, of which I can single out the statements of a number of states. The statement by the representative of Brazil, with whom we have good relations and who has always supported us in one event or another, is surprising. And the statement by the representative of this country shows that the work has not been done. Unfortunately, this meeting has once again shown that we have not done enough".
