Turkish authorities detain over 2,000, seize millions in illicit pills Video
Turkish authorities have detained over 2,365 suspects and seized a large quantity of drugs as part of operation aimed at combating the illegal drug trade.
Ali Yerlikaya, the Minister of the Interior has shared details on X page, Caliber.Az reports.

"The operation took place across 76 provinces over the past two weeks. The authorities confiscated 1,444 kilograms of narcotics and over 2.3 million psychotropic pills," Yerlikaya stated.
As a reminder, Türkiye's Interior Ministry conducted Operation NARKOKAPAN-14 in Istanbul, resulting in the seizure of 25.5kg of heroin, 17kg of methamphetamine, and various quantities of cocaine, skunk, and psychotropic pills.
Minister Yerlikaya confirmed that 153 suspects were arrested in connection with the drug distribution operation. Authorities also seized significant sums of foreign currency and Turkish lira, highlighting the scale of the trafficking operations.
