Remains similar to human skeleton uncovered in liberated territories

07 November 2023 18:09

Remains similar to a human skeleton were discovered in Agdam District of Azerbaijan.

Bones similar to a human skeleton - a skull, etc. were discovered in the territory of the village of Xidirli during engineering earthworks, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General's Office.

The district prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into the finding.

Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan have ruined numerous families and fates and pains of those horrific days still reverberate nationally with news coming about findings of new human burial sites across Karabakh where Armenia dominated for nearly 30-years, after exterminating thousands of innocent people.

The state commission for hostages and missing people registered 3,890 Azerbaijanis as missing persons; 3,171 of them were military, and 719 were civilians. Among the civilians, 71 were minors, 267 were women, and 326 were elderly.

Out of the total number of missing people, 872 people, including 29 children, 98 women, and 112 elderlies, were taken hostage or remained in the occupied territories. The prisoners and hostages who were released later confirmed that they had seen those people alive.

During the first Karabakh war, 1,480 Azerbaijanis were released from Armenian captivity.
