Rep: UN making efforts to open women's centres in Karabakh

08 April 2024 14:42

Acting Resident Representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Alessandra Roccasalvo has said that in practice, the launched projects are further implemented by agencies.

“There are currently 15 such centres. We are making efforts to open women's centres in Karabakh, in rural areas. I think that we will intensify activity in 2024. It is important to develop additional skills in young people for them to find their place in society. It is also important to continue to support vocational education,” Roccasalvo noted, APA reports.

UNDP is the United Nations’ lead agency on international development. UNDP supports countries and communities as they work to eradicate poverty, implement the Paris Agreement on climate change and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. UNDP advocates for transformative change, and connects countries to the resources they need to help people build a better life.
