Returning residents receive housing keys in Azerbaijan's Khojavand
Keys to newly allocated homes have been handed over to 18 families returning to Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district.
The keys were presented to families resettling in the town of Khojavand, the village of Khojavand, and the settlement of Girmizi Bazar, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
At this stage, 6 families comprising 24 people have been resettled in the town of Khojavand, 6 families comprising 20 people in the village of Khojavand, and 6 families comprising 24 people in the settlement of Girmizi Bazar.
The move is part of the government’s Great Return program, launched following Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day war in 2020. The initiative aims to resettle more than one million formerly internally displaced persons (IDPs) by 2030.
