Roots of Peace keen to cooperate with Azerbaijani Mine Acrton Agency in Karabakh demining
The international humanitarian organization "Roots of Peace" wants to cooperate with the Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Mine Action (ANAMA) in order to facilitate demining operations in Karabakh.
Report informs, the founder and head of the international humanitarian organization Roots of the World, Heidi Kühn, told reporters.
She noted that she was visiting Karabakh for the second time to see firsthand the extent of the destruction. Kühn called what she saw in the liberated territories evidence of brutality.
“Karabakh was once known as a black garden. It was a beautiful place surrounded by vineyards. Today, the black garden is the seed of the devastation caused by landmines,” she said.
Heidi Kühn noted that she was impressed by the dedication of the ANAMA employees, who, at the risk of their lives, clear the territories of mines, as well as the large-scale restoration work in Karabakh.
