Rotterdam twin shooting ends with 3 fatalities
Three people have been killed in two shootings in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam on September 28.
As reported by Sky News, the shootings occurred at Erasmus University Hospital and a nearby apartment, and police have confirmed three fatalities so far. The victims include a 43-year-old teacher at the university, a 39-year-old woman, and her 14-year-old daughter, who died after sustaining serious injuries. Both crime sites had been set on fire following the incident.
A 32-year-old male student has been arrested as a suspect under the helipad of the Erasmus Medical Centre, where one of the shootings occurred. The woman killed was reportedly the suspect's neighbor, according to the Dutch chief prosecutor.
The shooter had been wearing military clothing carrying a handgun. His motive behind the shootings is not yet clear.
