Russia, Central Asia unite against global threats, says ambassador
Russia’s relations with Central Asian nations continue to “withstand the test of time,” Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Alexey Erkhov said in Tashkent.
Speaking on regional cooperation, Erkhov highlighted that in the context of ongoing geopolitical turbulence and what he described as the West’s targeted efforts to undermine the international legal framework for security, Russia and Central Asian countries maintain close collaboration to confront external challenges and threats together, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.
“Russia firmly defends the sovereign right of our friends to pursue independent development in accordance with their political, ethnocultural traditions and worldview,” the ambassador added, underlining Moscow’s commitment to supporting the region’s autonomy and stability.
