Russia downs over hundred of Ukrainian drones overnight Infrastructure disrupted
Russia’s air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 130 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones during overnight attacks between 11:00 p.m. on December 14 and 7:00 a.m. local time on December 15, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defence.
The ministry stated that 38 drones were shot down over the Astrakhan region. An additional 25 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted over the Bryansk and Moscow regions, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
According to the ministry, eight drones were downed over the Belgorod, Rostov, and Kaluga regions, six over the Tula region, four over the Republic of Kalmykia, three over the Kursk and Oryol regions, and one drone each over the Ryazan region and the Caspian Sea.
In the Rostov region, falling debris reportedly caused two cars to catch fire. A local resident who attempted to extinguish the flames sustained burns to his hand. Damage to power lines in the Kamensk district disrupted operations at a water intake and pumping station, leaving parts of Kamensk, including the Zavodskoy microdistrict, Maslovka farm, and Pogorelovo station, without water supply.
Regional authorities in Bryansk and Tula said there were no casualties or damage on the ground.
