Kazakhstan and Russia have demarcated 70% of the total length of the interstate border, and approximately two to three years are allotted for work on the remaining sections.
The remarks came from Foreign Minister Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, TASS reports.
“The border between Kazakhstan and Russia is more than 7,500 km. A total of 70% of these are demarcated, the remaining 30% are located in the mountainous zone. It will take another two or three years,” Tileuberdi said. At the same time, the parties have already decided where the border of the two states passes along its entire length.
The border between Russia and Kazakhstan is the world's longest continuous land border between the two countries and is 7598.8 km long.
