Russia ramps up production of military hardware
President Vladimir Putin has chaired a meeting to discuss the main parameters of Russia’s state armaments programme for 2027–2036, alongside plans for the development of the defence-industrial complex, the Kremlin’s press service reports.
According to the briefing, production of key military equipment and munitions demanded during the special military operation has surged in 2025 compared with 2022.
Production of armoured vehicles has more than doubled, while light armoured vehicles, including infantry fighting vehicles and armoured personnel carriers, have increased by 3.7 times.
Military aviation equipment output has risen 4.6 times, motor vehicles 5.7 times, and missile and artillery systems 9.6 times.
Communication and electronic warfare equipment production has jumped 12.5 times, individual body armour nearly 18 times, and weaponry and ammunition more than 22 times.
