Russia reports destruction of 95 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian air defence forces shot down 95 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the night of February 4 to 5, the Russian Ministry of Defence said.
According to a statement published on the ministry’s official Telegram channel, 36 drones were destroyed over Krasnodar Krai, 27 over Rostov Region, and 21 over the waters of the Sea of Azov, per Caliber.Az.
In addition, eight UAVs were intercepted over Belgorod Region, two over Crimea, and one over Volgograd Region, the statement said.
The interceptions follow a previous such counterattack between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, when Russian forces destroyed 21 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated. It noted that nine of the drones were intercepted over the Belgorod and Volgograd regions, two over Rostov region, and one over Kursk region.
