Russia's Lavrov says ready to promote Baku-Yerevan peace treaty
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has confirmed to his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan Moscow's readiness to support the conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
"The Russian side confirmed its readiness to vigorously promote Armenian-Azerbaijani normalisation on the basis of a set of trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020-2022, including reaching the conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku," Caliber.Az reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry press service.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Lavrov and Mirzoyan confirmed the demand for contacts between Russia and Armenia at various levels.
According to the ministry, the diplomats also discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as interaction on international platforms and within the framework of common integration associations.
