Russia says 42 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight

Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defence units intercepted and destroyed 42 Ukrainian drones overnight between September 12 and 13.

According to the ministry, the attacks occurred across several regions of the country between 23:00 Moscow time on September 12 to 06:00 Moscow time on September 13, Caliber.Az reports. 

The highest number of drones was reported over the Rostov Region, where 15 were shot down. Twelve drones were intercepted over the Belgorod Region and 10 more over the Volgograd Region. Two drones were destroyed over Crimea, while single drones were downed in the Kaluga, Kursk and Smolensk regions.

The ministry did not report any casualties or damage resulting from the attempted strikes.
