Russia conducts overnight strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, airbase

The Russian Armed Forces carried out a coordinated overnight strike targeting Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and the infrastructure of a key military airfield, the Russian Defence Ministry noted.

The strike employed long-range precision weaponry, including hypersonic aeroballistic missiles Kinzhal, alongside unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Caliber.Az reports.

In addition to military-industrial targets, the operation also hit Ukrainian gas and energy infrastructure, as well as a weapons and equipment repair depot used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“The strike objectives have been achieved, and all designated targets were successfully destroyed,” the ministry stated. The Defence Ministry further claimed that the operation was carried out in response to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian civilian sites.
