Kazakhstan boosts Uranium exports despite global price drop
Kazakhstan’s national atomic company, Kazatomprom, increased its uranium exports by 33% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025.
The company’s statement shows that uranium sales grew by a third compared to the same period in 2024, while production rose by 10%, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakhstani media.
Over the first nine months of 2025, exports expanded by 10%, and overall output climbed 12% from last year’s figures.
Despite this strong performance, global uranium prices declined during the reporting period. “An 18% fall in the spot price had a limited impact on the group’s average realised prices, which decreased by just 6%,” the company said.
It noted that most of its sales portfolio is based on long-term contracts linked to spot market prices.
Kazatomprom now expects its consolidated revenue for 2025 to range between 1.75 trillion and 1.85 trillion tenge (approximately $3.33–$3.52 billion).
