Russia says it downed 780 Ukrainian drones in single day

Russian Air Defence Systems destroyed 780 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence has stated.

Ukraine earlier reported strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, including a refinery and a key pumping station.

Strikes targeted the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, where a fire reportedly broke out following the incident.

The statement added that the strike on the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station in Semibratovo, Yaroslavl region, caused preliminary damage to four storage tanks with a total capacity of 140,000 cubic metres.

The General Staff noted that the facility is a key component of Russia’s oil transportation network and plays a role in supporting the country’s military-industrial infrastructure.
