Moscow vows retaliation against US sanctions on Russian media

The Russian Foreign Ministry has pledged a firm response to any actions taken by the United States against Russia and its media entities.

In a recent appearance on the “Соловьев Live” TV channel, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova assured that the Russian government will not overlook Washington's measures, Caliber.Az reports.

"There will be retaliatory measures, let there be no doubt about it. Every action against our country will not go unanswered," Zakharova declared, addressing the recent sanctions imposed by the US on Russian media outlets.

On September 5, Zakharova revealed that the Russian Foreign Ministry is currently examining the sanctions targeting the «Россия сегодня» (Russia today) media group. The ministry is in the process of formulating a suitable response to these measures, underscoring Russia's intent to retaliate against what it perceives as unjust actions by the US.
