Russian air defences down 3,909 Ukrainian drones in one week

Russian air defence systems shot down 8 Flamingo cruise missiles, 89 guided aerial bombs and 3,909 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the course of a week, the Russian Defence Ministry has stated.

It said on Telegram that Ukraine also carried out attacks using US-made HIMARS rocket systems, Caliber.Az reports.

Earlier, the ministry said Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were detected over several Russian regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Voronezh, Oryol, Smolensk, Tula and Rostov, as well as the Moscow region, Crimea and the Black Sea, and were intercepted and destroyed by air defence systems.
